I was so happy for Carol's Daughter when Sephora began their products. I love to see black-owned businesses get mainstream success. Also, it provided an opportunity for me to smell all the different scents and get a feel for what products I liked in the store without taking the risk of buying them online and not liking them. So, when I saw that Louisville was getting a Sephora in Oxmoor Mall last year, I was so excited. But imagine my disappointment when I the store opened and they didn't carry Carol's Daughter's products! All they had was their Candy Paint lip gloss.
Ok, here's the good news: I was walking through Sephora yesterday and saw a beautiful Carol's Daughter display! Yay! :-)
The bad news: Still no Tui Herbal Shampoo, one of my favorite Carol's Daughter products. :-( It's still out of stock on the website, too, but it said that they're expecting it to be back in stock in the spring.

Have you tried any of CD's other products besides the hair products? I bought some body butter or something like that a few years ago from CD and I liked it. I haven't tried any of her hair products yet though.
No, I haven't tried any of the body products, but I may now that I have easy access right here in Louisville.
Of the hair products, I've tried the healthy hair butter, hair milk, mimosa hair honey, black vanilla leave-in, rosemary mint shampoo with sea moss, and the tui herbal shampoo. A lot of people on NP see the HHB as a staple, but the beeswax was too much for me. Same thing for the HM. People also love the MHH for its scent, but I found it to smell and feel greasy. I ended up selling it in the Swap & Sell board on NP. I didn't like the smell of the RMSWSM, although I did like the tingle. As you know, I really liked the BVLI and the THS for their smell and how they made my hair look and feel--shiny & moisturized.
I would like to try the tui hair smoothie, but guess what? It is out of stock, too! :-(
